Music Music Everywhere

This weekend I had a double dose of Brooklyn and a double dose of free concerts.

On Friday I headed into Brooklyn with my friend Taia to see the Philharmonic in Prospect Park. Each year the Philharmonic puts on a week of free concerts around New York City Boroughs. I had originally intended on going to the Wednesday evening performance in Central Park and picnicking with a group of friends; however, with forecast of stormy weather I ended up scraping those plans. Lesson hopefully finally learned-Do not base plans around NYC weather forecast because they are mostly wrong! For example they called for storms once again on Friday night but we decided to go rain or shine and for the most part we had a cloudless sky all night!

Tiny moon, can you see it?

So glad we went, the performance was incredible, the park offered a nice change from Central Park, and the evening concluded with a short firework display.

Second Brooklyn trip was to Coney Island for the annual Siren Music Festival...post to follow.
