Good evening,
I came home this evening with the plans to rush off to the gym for a spin class but looking out the window I saw a storm was quickly approaching and decided instead to take a front row to seat to a natural production and eat my dinner of scrambled eggs, swiss chard, and a Magnolia's cupcake (not pictured) from my roommie.
Not walking to the gym turned out to be a great decision on my part! About 5 minutes after I took my seat the sky turned green, flickered (I don't think I've ever seen the sky do this before, it was surreal), a huge bolt of lightning, followed a few seconds later by thunder, and then a down pour.
Apparently we didn't have it so bad in Manhattan but there was a Tornado warning in Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens where one person died from the storm. I was in shock when I read this just moments ago.

Meanwhile without knowing it was quite so bad I was enjoying the beauty of the power of nature. I also sipped on a decaf coffee (sans the milk because I'm out, grocery shopping time once again!) and did a little reading.
I've been plowing through the fiction at the moment but just generated a list of non fiction that I want to read for more work related/future career minded info. I was hoping the public or school library would have some of the books I'm looking for but so far I haven't had much luck, maybe I'll just take a seat at the bookstore this weekend with my notebook and coffee and read away? I miss the amazingness of Bobst, the NYU library! I think my alumni card gets me entrance for 3 visits...if only I can find it, mmm...
Okay off to the gym, better late than never!
Nicole
