After a subway line mixup (even those living in the city for 6+ years have issues from time to time) we arrived at the beach around 2:30. Just in time to walk up and hear the Screaming Females last song. I first saw this band back in December at Terminal 5 opening for the Arctic Monkeys and was really looking forward to hearing them again...I'll have to track down their next performance.
Otherwise there weren't too many bands that I was particularly listening so we walked along the boardwalk, took in the breeze, and people watched. Like look at this tattoo!
I caught a bit of Earl Greyhound and then headed towards the main stage for The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. One of the touring members is actually a friend of a kid who lived above me freshman year at NYU.
As for food for the day there was basically only the traditional boardwalk junk food. I went with the sweet potato french fries earlier in the afternoon and around 6 had a scoop of ice cream.
Here is the famous Nathan's of Coney Island but nothing here for me and they actually post the calorie content of everything!
Then it was finally time for the headliners-Matt and Kim. This twosome is goofy, corky and last night were overall extremely excited to be playing in their home borough in front of such a large crowd.

Train ride home was also amusing, never saw so many people decided to camp out on the subway floor.
